What is Motor Protection Plan Plus?
Motor Protection Plan Plus has been developed to provide you with additional legal protection. Motor Protection Plan Plus is a low-cost insurance policy which safeguards you against the effects of uninsured losses as a result of an accident that wasn't your fault.
Why do I need legal cover?
If your car was damaged by another driver their insurance may pay to repair your vehicle, but you may need to make a claim for your excess, medical expenses and possibly any lost earnings.
If you were to contact a solicitor to make the claim, or for advice, you could quite easily find yourself paying £100 per hour. However, with Motor Protection Plan Plus, you receive up to £75,000 towards any legal expenses.
What extra benefits will I receive?
With Motor Protection Plan Plus, you receive up to £75,000 of legal expenses giving you that extra security and peace of mind, additional benefits include:
- A replacement vehicle (subject to availability)
- Free 72 hour hire car (subject to availability)
- Uninsured loss recovery service
- 24 hour claims management service
In order to qualify for the hire car you must be over 21 years of age. The hire car will be provided subject to compliance with the rental company's insurance criteria.
Important Notes:
This optional extra is only valid for the period of motor insurance, however, it can be purchased midway through your policy; if you change your vehicle or when you renew your insurance policy with Auto Direct.
